Old Time Radio Shows

"Agatha Christie", "The Lone Ranger", "Little Miss Brooks" These are just a few of the old -time radio shows that will be kicking off the Plaza Playhouse Theater's 2015 Play Season in this exciting Fundraiser. Under the direction of Jordana Lawrence the cast includes Independent award winners and well know actors who have graced local stages from Circle Bar B to Ensemble to Center Stage, the Garvin and the Jurkowitz theatre and our own Plaza Playhouse Theater. This talented group is lending their professional talent and knowledge in full support to continue to bring live theater, along with concerts and movies to the theater.

The Plaza Playhouse Theater intends to woo you with six old-time famous radio shows that fascinated and entertained radio listeners during the 30's and 40's, early 50's and are still entertaining today. Each weekend carries it own production of a Western, Mystery, and Comedy, all masterfully delivered with live sound effects, giving the audience an opportunity to attend both weekends.

The "Old Time Radio Shows" run March 13 through March 22. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM with Sunday Matinees at 3:00PM. The Plaza Playhouse Theater is located at 4916 Carpinteria Ave. and is ADA compatible and wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of free parking near the venue. Tickets are $15.00 general admission and $12.00 for seniors or students. They are available online, by phone at (805) 684-6380 (leave a message), at Seastrand (919 Linden Avenue in Carpinteria by cash or check only), and at the theater box office one hour prior to show time.
