Warrior
Local talent playwright Jennifer Adam and director Amy Gilmartin, teamed up with Black Dingo Productions last summer to bring you a story sprung from controversy, Warrior. After sensational reviews and sell out performances at last year's Just Festival Warrior is back for a limited run at Discover 21 Theatre. If you missed it previously make sure you catch it now!
Warrior's small cast confronts sectarian issues ignited by ignorance as the real world clashes with the fickle one online. Teenager Evan has been arrested for sectarian abuse. The case seems simple but every story has more than one side.
Evan's fate is undecided, how would you judge his case?
'Warrior doesn't give answers, but sends an audience away with the knowledge that one simple act, or word, or phrase can cause devastation. Hopefully, there will be another chance for more people to see this important play after the Fringe frenzy ends.'
J.A. Sutherland, BroadwayBaby
'Considered and compelling, Black Dingo Productions' Warrior deals with ingrained sectarianism in a believable way.'
Hugh Simpson, All Edinburgh Theatre
'Euan Brockie excels as Evan: fierce, clenched and clearly trying hard to prevent his latent anger and frustration from boiling over.'
Tim Bano, ThreeWeeks
