Diamano Coura Presents The Mysterious Snake" and other folklores and music
"The Mysterious Snake" is a dance/drama from Liberia that tells the story of a young boy who disobeyed his parents and entered a forbidden forest only to be captured by a mysterious snake. It takes the entire village to beg and offer gifts until the child is returned. The story incorporates dance, music, theater, visuals to transport the audience to the African villages from which they originated. Diamano Coura will feature Dr. Zakarya Diouf of the Senegalese National Dance Company, Liberian National Dance Troupe Naomi Diouf and Nimley Napla, along with lead drummers Madiou Diouf and Darian LaFoucade with 20 amazing artists. Come experience some of the most amazing and energetic African dance performance in the San Francisco Bay Area.
