Kraut-Making Workshop
Join Slow Food Spokane River & Sun People Dry Goods for a fun and educational workshop on how to make your own sauerkraut!
We love DIY projects that help people get the knowledge and confidence to make their own food. One important way to eat better quality foods more affordably.
Expert Master Food Preservers lead us through the steps of making your own sauerkraut. You bring enough cabbage to yield 5lb shredded, a knife, a cutting board and a container (minimum 1 gallon crock or glass jar). We provide the pickling salt and instructions.
$10.00 per person (bring your own 1 gallon glass jar or crock and cabbage)
Limit 30 people - deadline to purchase tickets - 10/15/10.
If you pre-ordered a jar by the 10/8 deadline, pick up is this Friday from 3-5pm at 24 W. 2nd and you get a sneak peek tour of the soon to open Sun People Dry Goods! Bring your ticket purchase confirmation to pick up the jar please.
