EVERYBODY LIKES YOU: Comic JESSICA HALEM in concert, with special guest MANDI TURNER
JESSICA HALEM...called "brave and bawdy" by Time Out Chicago and "awesomely hilarious and desperately needed" by Margar...et Cho...was raised by hippie Jewish artists from the East Coast, anything but normal - or easy - in small-town Ohio. But it did help to foster this very funny "on-your-face" comic, who puts her queer spin on Sudafed, sexual politics, and glory holes.
For her return to her new home base from her summer tour, Jessica...who has already appeared in New Orleans at Le Chat Noir, and in "Verbatim Verboten" and "Cordelia was The Fool"...will present, in its local premiere, her full show at the Marigny Theatre. EVERYBODY LIKES YOU is a bawdy ride through the funniest side of sexual culture. Adults only.
Opening for Jessica is New Orleans' comedy & performance darling MANDI TURNER. Specializing in "Comedy! Juggling! Magic! Fire!" she's appeared in the Burlesque Ballroom at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse and is the new emcee of "Cordelia was The Fool."
