Americana is music born on American soil. It includes "roots music" influenced by the American landscape and culture, most commonly: country, folk, rhythm and blues, and rock. But it also includes music influenced by other distinctly American genres- like bluegrass, jazz, blues, and even Tex-Mex.
This special night will feature three of the Bay Area's favorite songstresses crooning, strumming, squeezing, and storytelling on banjo, accordion, and guitar- all as they wend their way across the Wild West stage. Denise Funari will play her brand of Americana country folk, Tara Linda plays Tortilla Western (Tex-Mex meets spaghetti western rock), and Gayle Lynn and her Hired hands will serenade all alt-country rock.
