Masquerade Ball / Latinise' Album Release Concert

Come in costume to the Masquerade Ball of the Season!

Logistics: Thursday, October 28th 2010 at the Stan Mansion, 2408 N. Kedzie, Chicago IL 60647. Doors open at 7pm, live music and dancing starts at 8pm.

Ball activities and amusements include:

***A costume contest judged by Savannah Peregoy, Alex Rutherford and Sam Pudil, costume designers from the Court Theater of Chicago. Prizes will be awarded for the most musical, most stylish and most eclectic costumes. Contestants can sign up at the door.***

***Featured dance performers, including Rod Relucio and Jen Teters (tango Nuevo); Scheherazade (belly dance performance with a live 6-foot cobra); and Aislinn Gagliardi and Megan Rhyme (modern/Brazilian choreography). A free salsa lesson will be provided by Sway Dance, and the dance floor will be open to guests all night.***

***Live music from global jazz ensemble Latinise', performing arrangements of tango, pop, bossa nova, and cabaret music in French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese from its new album "Outerlingual". For more info please visit www.andreaelse.com.***

***Fantasy face-painting and a cash bar.***

Proceeds will be donated to the Merit School of Music, an organization founded in 1979 that provides high-quality music education to students in metropolitan Chicago. The Merit School of Music's primary goals are to help young people achieve their full musical potential, to remove economic barriers to participation, and to stimulate personal and educational growth through music.
