Chicken Heads / Little Town of Bethlehem
Roos Djaj (Chicken Heads) by Bassam Jarbawi
Set in the heart of Palestinian farmland, Chicken Heads tells the story of an 11-year-old bedouin boy, Yousef, who faces a moral dilemma when his pet gazelle harms one of his father's prized animals. Chicken Heads is a coming of age story that explores the fine line between taking responsibility for one's actions and lying in order to protect oneself.
Little Town of Bethlehem
A documentary film follows the story of three men of three different faiths and their lives in Israel and Palestine. The story explores each man's choice of non-violent action amidst a culture of overwhelming violence. This film is about the non-violence movement working to end the cycle of violence in Israel and Palestine. It is not about who is right or wrong, but rather about seeking the humanity in both sides. The film examines the struggle to promote equality through non-violent engagement in the midst of incredible violence that has dehumanized all sides.
