Noe Socha - Solo Performance
Noé Socha is a blues guitarist from from the small town of Carpi, Italy. Influenced by artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young and blues artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Muddy Waters, and Lightnin' Hopkins, Noe has created his own signature sound. He pairs a fiery guitar technique with virtuoso harmonica playing, channeling the sounds of the Mississippi Delta with a hint of Hendrix-esque flavor.
A graduate from Berklee College of Music on a full tuition scholarship, he received many awards including the "Jimi Hendrix Award" for the college's leading guitarist and the "Billboard Magazine Endowed Scholarship" presented to the college's top student.
Noé has had the great honor of performing and/or recording with Nona Hendrix (Labelle), Vernon Reid (Living Color), and multi-Grammy winner Javier Limón. He has also toured extensively with Grammy award-winning artist Paula Cole.
Noé was recently mentioned in Rolling Stone about his standout performance at the Berklee Commencement Concert honoring Willie Nelson's career. Noé's passion and drive is evident through his music. Whether it's in front of thousands of people or in an intimate setting, the audience always leaves feeling Noe's story through his instrument.
"Noe Socha, a graduating student from Italy, blew away the crowd with his virtuoso soloing on steel guitar and harmonica during Fred Rose's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," which Nelson made his own on his classic album Red Headed Stranger" - Rolling Stone
