Bay Area Green Tours Invitation: Hoes Down Festival

Oct. 2nd:
Join our "Seminar on Wheels" and Travel to Full Belly's Farm's annual "Hoes Down" Festival.

On the way, meet representatives from Slow Money and learn about Slow Food, Agricultural Land Trusts, Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSAs), Bio-dynamic Farming & Food Justice. Meet lots of wonderful people on the bus and then enjoy an all-day celebration of the harvest season at Full Belly Farm.

This is a fun filled and unique opportunity to enjoy rural life on an organic family farm, with educational farm tours, hands-on workshops, craft booths, farmers' market, and an abundance of food. Contra dancing, and live music through out the day. (Johnny Cash anyone?)

Kids have their own area with arts and crafts, nature walks, storytelling, games, a petting zoo, hay rides, and terrific contests.

*There is NO CELL RECEPTION at the farm, please plan accordingly.

11:00 AM Leave from The Brower Center Lobby, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley
9:00 PM Depart from the Hoes Down and return to Berkeley

The extra money you provide helps support our community educational tours that provide opportunities for youth to have the same opportunity you have to learn about Urban Agriculture and visit local Farms.

* An informational seminar on the way to Full Belly Farm with videos, speakers and lots of opportunity to meet new friends.

* Admission to the Hoes Down ($20 value)

* Round trip transportation in a comfortable air conditioned bus with large panoramic windows, a bathroom and plenty of storage underneath for storing CSA boxes, lawn chairs, bags.
