Celebrate LOCAL
You are warmly invited to join OUT for Sustainability for our second annual "Celebrate LOCAL" dinner, auction and engaging discussion, all focused on how local food is pivotal to building local economy and local community. The event is October 21st at 6:30pm in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle.
The dinner features local food and beverages with local food advocate, chef Zephyr Paquette of Elliot Bay Cafe. Participating vendors include Viva Farms, Cloudview EcoFarms, Poco Wine, Fremont Brewing, Dry Soda and Grand Central Bakery.
The discussion on local food features Ethan Schaffer of Grow Food, Kurt Timmermeister of Kurtwood Farms and our chef Zephyr Paquette. See below for bio's.
The silent auction shows support for our community from local green and queer friendly businesses. Auction items are listed below.
The LGBTQ community has made great national strides, but it is still the local community where progress is made. Engaging with local food and local economy builds a strong foundation for community sustainability and equality.
Email Board President Gerod Rody at gerod.rody@gmail.com if you are interested in supporting through sponsorship, volunteering or donations.
Tickets are $40 to attend or $70 to support with special perks! Pairs are also available at $75 to attend and $99 to support.
