Literary Death Match NYC, Ep. 30
Can you spell "medieval"? Unless you want to lose an eye, NYC, you better start brushing up on your lit skills, and bring a helmet and a shield - because this LDM is going to be dangerous.
In our most regal Death Match yet, the dashing journalist/author Amitava Kumar (A Foreigner Carrying in the Crook of His Arm a Tiny Bomb), and starry-eyed fictionista Dawn Raffel (Further Adventures in the Restless Universe), will attempt to lay siege to the fortress of His Highness Dave King (The Ha-Ha), and poet Khadijah Queen (Conduit), who will sling metaphorical arrows and lob similes as sharp as javelins at their challengers.
When all the dust has settled, brave-hearted critic Liesl Schillinger (NY Times Book Review), Jim "Man-Crusher" O'Grady (journalist, biographer, Moth Grand Slam Champion), and the barbarically comic Cory Cavin will sift through the remnants of battle to decide which literate soldier-for-hire is worthy of the latest Literary Death Match title, and which should go back to the pit.
