TPR Think Science: Citizen Science
TPR invites you to learn more about Citizen Science at Think Science, TPR's lunch and learn series, on Friday, February 20th, at noon.
Citizen Science involves the general public in the collection of scientific data. This crowd-sourced science includes the use of online gamers to analyze protein structures, asking people to view online photos to identify penguins and encouraging people to plant sunflowers to draw in bees.
Join us to learn more about Citizen Science and about local opportunities to participate.

Panelists will include Forrest Mims, who has served as editor of the Citizen Scientist Journal, Jason St.Sauver, resident "bird nerd" at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center and Carrie Merson, Education Specialist at San Antonio River Authority. Special thanks to The University of Texas at San Antonio for helping to make this presentation possible.
A selection of free box lunches from Spice of Life Catering will be available to the first 80 people who register for the event.
