Event
Lorraine and Alan
Bucket Club and Battersea Arts Centre in association with Farnham Maltings present Lorraine and Alan.
Our evening of live performance at Turner begins with Scratch Your Self and the cafe bar will be open for drinks and pre-show supper. Ticket price includes a FREE ticket to Scratch Your Self.
Lorraine & Alan is, essentially, about a relationship that goes wrong. It is about co-dependency and how those we love shape who we are. It is about moving out of your parents' house and the sleepiness of little England. This modern re-telling of the Selkie myth is retold with live electronic sound design, song and several hundred plastic bottles. Using this myth and drawing influence from Ibsen's A Doll's House, the company explore how female identity can depend on a man, and speak for a generation of graduates raised on promises of a life as straightforward and comfortable as their parents'.
