Tea Workshop: Green Teas of Japan
Each region of Japan produces a tea marked with distinctive properties enhanced through steaming, rolling, massaging and roasting. The finest of these varieties is called 'liquid jade.' Join Charles Kellogg, Director of Education " at the "Art of Tea," as he introduces the history, processing and preparation of Japanese varietal teas including gyokuro, sencha - steeped teas, hojicha - roasted teas, and the fine ceremonial powdered matcha teas. Learn to distinguish the types and qualities of Japanese tea through demonstrations and tastings.
