Restoration Ministries Thank You Concert
Restoration Ministries is the only faith-based organization located in D.C area working with men, women and children who are caught in the trap of domestic sex trafficking. Our approach is to build relationships with survivors, earn the trust, recognize and answer their needs, and be the "ambassadors" of Christ to show them the Lord by exemplifying His love.
This March 2015, Restoration Ministries is holding an annual concert with Joy Lippard, to raise our goal of $10,000 for the operation at PIW (Psychiatric Institution of Washington), identifying survivors, trauma counseling, and case management. All proceeds of this campaign will go toward providing support to survivors who have already suffered the experience of being trafficked as well as to those who are at risk.
About the artist: Joy Lippard is a Virginia native who has been writing songs since she was 11. She wrote her first song on the eve of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Lippard recalls looking at the lyrics after the tragedy happened and sensing a real calling to encourage others through music. From that point on, Lippard continued to develop her songwriting chops and studied music theory, piano, guitar and voice. Lippard exalts God not just with her music, but her life. She served as a worship leader at a mega church in Virginia and has been on mission trips to Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Peru and the Philippines.
If you would like to donate more to Restoration Ministries, please join in on our online fundraising campaign and spread the word! Every person who donates $25 or more to this fundraiser may attend this concert for free as our Thank You. Just mention your name at the door, and we will verify your donation from our records.
