Two Chairs Telling: Other Countries Edition 3-10
Why pay for a trip to some exotic Spring Break location when you can be transported to glorious adventures and near catastrophes at Two Chairs Telling? Wandering Alex Cleberg and legendary traveler Jim Stowell have been there and come back to tell their tales.
Cleberg has performed improvisational acting and sketch comedy at the Brave New Workshop SU, HUGE Theater and Bryant-Lake Bowl. He has also performed storytelling at the Moth, Twin Cities Speak Easy, the Fringe Festival and Story Slams. He seeks out new stories in remote areas of Africa, India and South East Asia. He returns to Minneapolis to tell about his adventures with verve and an off-handed humor that underscores shared humanity.
Stowell has been writing, acting, directing and producing theater in the Twin Cities for 40 years. His work has been compared to Lewis Carrol, William Faulkner, Jack Kerouac, John Steinbeck, Harper Lee, Mark Twain, The Marx Brothers, among others. He has been called "the area's most compelling storyteller," "a master at work," "a genius," "unforgettable and unnerving" and "passionate and eloquent." All of it is true or should be.
