Story Club Minneapolis 3-26
This month, Story Club is featuring performance artist Muna Mohamed and writer Ellen Burkhardt. Mohamed uses comedy to deal with the opposite worlds of being Somali and American. Her mother thinks she's lost her mind and wonders how comedy will get her into heaven or, more importantly, a husband. When she's not doing comedy, she dabbles in poetry, improv and she is a self-proclaimed "perpetual student of the arts." Burkhardt is a Minneapolis-based writer, over-thinker and professional eavesdropper. Her most recent essay for Salon broke all the rules for an INTJ. She's still recovering. Three audience members get a chance to tell their own story; sign up for the open mic raffle before the show.
