Saturday Concerts & Readings - Plant&Sing!
Saturday afternoon brings concerts, readings, modern dance and kids activities to the manor.
Afternoon activities start at 2pm.
$20/regular admission, $5/students.
2- 8pm: New and Traditional Acoustic Music The Gawler Family, Free Seedlings, Joe Hanna, Fireside, Island Folk, and more!
2 - 5.30pm: Poems and readings about food and place Brad Davis, Scott Chaskey, Megan Chaskey, Kathy Lynch, Kathy Engel Magdalene Brandeis, and Debbie Siegel.
6pm: Play Reading of Thornton Wilder's 1931 classic one-act of American family life. Read by Quack Theatrics, Directed by Bill Burford of Stony Brook Southampton.
6:30pm: One man show by Bill Persky, sitcom creator and writer for "the Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "That Girl"
8pm Worksongs and Garlic Popping Around the Fire with Bennett Konesni
Food for sale all afternoon from local vendors, including mulled cider!
Don't forget our Saturday morning of free activities- (7am) Sunrise Yoga followed by the sweet potato harvest, and (1pm) windmill-themed modern dance by Molly Gawler of Pilobolus. All of these activities happen in the windmill field.
Sunday morning will hold free yoga again, and the big garlic planting event- also free. We come together as a community to plant the garlic and sing some work songs while we're at it.
