The Winter's Tale (TEAL)
As the old caretaker of the theatre spins a story inspired by their own lives, the characters listen to the magic of this winterâÂÂs tale and are transported to a fantastically imagined early Renaissance fairy land. Here a jealous king suspects his wife of plotting against him, puts her on trial for her life, and banishes her baby to a foreign land only to find the success of the kingdom depends on finding the child. The daughter, raised as a shepherdess, grows up to fall in love with the son of the kingâÂÂs onetime enemy and the reconciliation all hangs upon the power of love and the strategies of a merry pickpocket.
