Farm to Table Brunch @ The Brewery: International Women's Collaboration Brew Day II
Mike Hess Brewing is hosting (for our 2nd time!) the Second International Women's International Collaboration Brew Day (IWCB) and Brunch.
On March 8th, Mike Hess Brewing will be joining forces, with 50+ (and counting) other breweries around the world, to help raise awareness of women in the craft beer industry.
Participating breweries' professional women brewers, or in our case, brewsters on loan from nearby breweries, will all be brewing a 4.6% Red Ale, with a percentage of the sales contributed to Pink Boots Society, a non-profit charity which provides scholarships to women who earn income in craft beer.
On loan to Mike Hess Brewing that day, we are stoked to welcome Brewster Ashley Devonshire, guest brewing for us from Green Flash Brewing.
When she is not hard at work brewing the special beer, she will spend time enjoying the brunch with us and speaking with you, our guests, about how she got her start and what it is like to work in the brewing industry.
While the brew is going on, we will have an amazing buffet style spread created by Cucina Coronado's Caroline Chambers (http://www.cucinacoronado.com/) using locally sourced foods.
