Nicole Atkins & The Black Sea, Arrington de Dionyso's Malaikat dan Singa, Kera & the Lesbians
Nicole Atkins' sound is known for its mix of traditional vocal styles and introspective lyrics. She has been compared to Roy Orbison and singers from the Brill Building era, as well as more contemporary artists like Jenny Lewis.[2] Atkins has called her work "pop-noir." The band will be fresh off their west coast tour with The Black Keys...
Malaikat dan Singa is the Indonesian pop project of Old Time Relijun's Arrington de Dionyso.
"Mixes psycho blues, free jazz, and throat singing into a hillbilly stomp like no other ... [Malaikat dan Singa] isn't just a unique listen, but true trance music that grabs your guts and juggles them around."
- Giant Robot
...As of right now the Kera Dominique can basically be described as the trajectory of Kera's musical ambitions. It is a collective of musicians that lacks a definite form at this time. However, Kera and her musically inclined friends have plans to develop the band further and to record more songs. "Their work ethic certainly won't hurt them, but it's their blend of folk, garage and balls-out (sorry, probably a bad choice of words in this instance) rock, not to mention the namesake's stellar voice, that truly makes them a local band to watch in 2010." -Seth Combs, City Beat Magazine
