Two From Tisch: THE FALL OF CAFE MUDAFIER TO THE TOLTECS & SUGARED MEATINGS: A DELECTABLE 18TH CENTU
Tonight, we present two short plays by Tisch School Of the Arts grads...THE FALL OF CAFE MUDAFIER TO THE TOLTECS By Andrew Duncan Farmer (A true staged reading with stage directions read out loud). Olivia Bellune, arguably the most famous woman on Earth, has found one last beacon of privacy in the elegant and prestigious Cafe Mudafier. However, as the savage outside world finds a way into the pristine restaurant, Olivia finds herself questioning which place is more frightening. SUGARED MEATINGS: A DELECTABLE 18TH CENTURY ROMP by Claire Downs, James Clark, and Evan Watkins. A comedy based on both true and basically made up events at Versailles. The characters are Madame de Pompadour, Voltaire, and Louis XV. SUGARED MEATINGS was collectively written and performed by three NYU alums - Claire Downs, James Clark, and Evan Watkins. The authors have separately performed and created works at The Tank, PS122 (Avant-Garde-arama), The Connelly Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Second City Chicago and this fall at The Ontological's Incubator Series. Our designers have worked for CBS, Harlem School of the Arts, and The Box. All door proceeds to benefit The Actors Fund for HOWL! HELP.
