Brendan McGill + Browne Family Vineyards
Join us Saturday, February 28, as Hitchcock's Brendan McGill partners with Browne Family Vineyards to launch his first pop-up for The Fisherman's Wife, a seafood-based restaurant concept he's been dreaming up for quite some time.
McGill, named "People's Best New Chef" by Food & Wine magazine in 2013, as well as a 2014 "Best Chef Northwest" James Beard Award semi-finalist, will be showcasing his love affair with not just seafood, but vegetables and grains.
"The Fisherman's Wife, as a menu concept," says McGill, "puts the seafood front and center, only to be punctuated with cured meats. Seafood also makes excellent charcuterie in its own right, which is something I've always enjoyed exploring at Hitchcock. We'll be using all the tools of the season; late winter mushrooms are merging with the first foraged green sprouts of spring, winter storage vegetables are brightened with our preserves from harvest as well as the first buds of the over-wintered crop. The bulk of our produce comes from right here in the Puget Sound region, but our influences stretch from Japan to the Basque country."
A cocktail reception begins at 630p, followed by a seated dinner around 7p.
The dinner takes place at Studio M at Mallet, perched above Esquin in SODO. There is no dress code, but the general attire usually leans towards upscale casual to dressy.
We look forward to seeing you at the table!
