Playwriting Workshop 2-day
Only 5 spots left! If you are not a Berwyn Resident please call first prior to signing up. Berwyn Residents are given priority. Thank you!
Ever wonder what exactly it is that playwrights do? How they come up with ideas? How they get everything onto the stage?
Ever think you might like to try it?
This workshop will take the participants through the stages of writing a short play--finding the idea, creating the characters, putting them into conflict, and finding resolution. The first session will be devoted to writing a short play, and the second session will allow everyone to hear their play read aloud by actors.
You can bring a laptop, you can use paper and pencils, but be sure to bring your imagination.
Workshop open to all levels, including first-timers! Class geared for adults, ages 18 and up.
Class fee includes one ticket to a preview of MENORCA by Robert Koon!
Class size is limited to 12.
Workshop takes place:
Saturday, August 28 from 11am - 4pm
Friday, September 3 from 7 - 10pm
Robert Koon is the award-winning playwright of Vintage Red and the Dust of the Road (Jeff Award), St. Colm's Inch and Odin's Horse. He is a Resident Playwright at Chicago Dramatists.
