Reviews of "Unblock Your Brilliance: Writing through Improvisation":
"The day I took Bridget's class, I wrote for about five minutes before I went to sleep because I felt inspired to do so by the class. When I woke up the next morning, I read what I wrote and I cried. I'm so glad that I opened the door to this part of myself." Richart S.
"What surprised me was how much I've been detaching myself from my creativity and denying it. I've been putting blocks up and stressing myself out so that I believed I couldn't rely on myself and needed something outside of me to inspire me. That's what I why I went to the workshop last night. What I discovered, however, was that everything we did was based upon my own creativity and it helped me remember or believe in myself again.
So that's what I really got out of the class- which was a lot!" – Cassandra S.
"Bridget, thank you again for your workshop. I have taken several writing workshops before but none of them have allowed me to find my voice as easily and as quickly as your workshop did. Thank you!" – Gabe M.
"Bridget, I already told you live, but want to say again: You helped me so much with your workshop. I am absolutely going to write, write and write. Your workshop was energetic, fun, interesting and helpful.
I advise everyone who wants to do something with words on paper (or screen): USE IMPROV in the way Bridget teaches. Thank you for being my teacher on this." – Ida L.
"I really valued the "yes and.." application in the exercise and then in the writing. I think it creates huge space for creativity and for keeping the persnickety kill-joy editor away.
I found it very inspiring to be in a group of people who shared the same purpose and had the same energy flowing in order to accomplish something. As I mentioned, there's such a lift that occurs when there is work like that en groupe. It opens up the possibility to great creative potential.
I appreciated your comments about nurturing the muse: I only wish mine did not keep infant hours and wake me up to party during the night." – Devon L.
"This was my first exposure to improv/creative writing/storytelling, so the whole thing was kind of an eye opener. I think it affected my storytelling practice the most, as I tell stories in social settings, whereas I don't do improv or creative writing, but with that said I can already see how having improv skills could totally help in social situations." – Tony C.
"I find myself judging myself less now as I write. It's a miracle! I'm actually having fun!" – Betty B.
