2010 IPM Workshop for Landscape Professionals - held at South Seattle Community College
Restoration landscaping, rain gardens, and food gardens are more widespread. Customers and the public are asking for reduced pesticide use, and in many cases, pesticide-free maintenance of trees, yards, and grounds.
The Green Gardening Program offers this workshop to help landscapers meet the challenge of sustainable landscapes. The workshop includes presentations and practical knowledge from industry experts and peers.
Topics include: How to maintain restored sites, rain gardens, and green infrastructure. Pest and disease control for edible plants. Planning ahead for fungal and disease problems. How to fix bad tree root systems and recognize hazard trees. In Spanish! A 3-hour session on Weed Control Year-Round.
You have the option of attending morning only ($35), afternoon only ($35), or full day workshop ($50-includes lunch).
