"Waiting in the Victory Garden" written and directed by Linda Ayres- Frederick, In a time of war, a young bride wonders if her new husband will survive his deployment. Features Juliet Tanner, Heidi Wolff and Paul Gerrior. Previously performed at the 2007 Bay One Acts Festival at the Eureka Theatre (where it was published by Three Wise Monkeys) and in 2008 in "Plays about Death" by Pacifica Table Readers Theatre at SF Studio Theatre.
"Googling for Gerson" --In this poignant award-winning monologue written and performed by Linda Ayres-Frederick, an Hispanic Grandmother helps purchase a prosthesis for her grandson who has just returned from the war. Previously performed at Marin Fringe Festival 2009 directed by Joya Cory and read at Thick House for Crowded Fire's Fundraiser.
"The Most Beautiful Showgirl in the World" by Janet Johnston and Joya Cory, performed by Joya Cory, directed by Maureen Studer immediately followed by
"Irma at the Movies" written and performed by Joya Cory. Two peculiar women's triumphant journeys: Elayne, an aging showgirl, tells her colorful story to a tabloid reporter and Irma fights a panic attack at the movies. Previously performed at the SF Fringe Festival, SF Theatre Festival and at the Solofest of the West at Sixth Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa, CA.
"Gussie and Sam" written and directed by Naomi Newman. Poetry and bedpans? A prize winning serio-comic look at two senior citizens facing the challenges of living in a nursing home. Performed by Linda Ayres-Frederick and Paul Gerrior as performed in the Marin Fringe Festival Fall 2009.
"15 Notes" by Ruth Kirschner directed by Linda Ayres-Frederick and featuring Heidi Wolff. Writing a simple thank-you note to the doctor who has been caring for her dying father is not so simple for Arley Levine Wright, whose life turns backward, forward and finally around. Previously produced by Phoenix Arts Association in SF Fringe Festival in 1995, and in NYC at Studio Theatre, Inc.
"Wabi Sabi" by Ruth Kirschner directed by Linda Ayres-Frederick--a hilarious comedy about four neurotic strangers whose lives unwillingly intersect at a bus stop. Features Juliet Tanner, Heidi Wolff, Linda Ayres-Frederick and Bruno Kanter. This winner of the Marin Fringe Festival Best Play 2010 (directed by Penny Wallace) was previously produced by Phoenix Arts Association at Studio Theatre, Inc. NYC and by the West Coast Ensemble in Hollywood, CA.

Linda Ayres-Frederick is Phoenix Arts Association Theatre's Artistic Director since its founding in 1985 and has been performing in the Bay Area, nationally and internationally since 1972. A member of AEA, AFTRA, SFBATCC and ATCA, she also writes Theatre Criticism and interviews for SF Bay Times. As a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and twice-awarded Shubert Foundation Fellow, her plays, short and long, have enjoyed productions, awards and publication locally in Bay Area Festivals with frequent readings in Valdez, Alaska and other venues in the Lower 48. www.phoenixtheatresf.org

Joya Cory has been performing as an improviser and actor since 1971. She
founded the Improvisation Troupes, MOTION and LUCKY DOG THEATRE. She is the creator of several solo theatre pieces, acts and directs in a variety of venues and teaches Full Spectrum Improvisation and Solo Performance Workshops. Ruth Kirschner is an award-winning nationally produced playwright and a member of the Artists Development Lab, The Dramatists Guild, and the Squaw Valley Community of Writers. Naomi Newman is a co-founder of A Traveling Jewish Theatre, where for the last 32 years she has functioned as playwright, director and performer. The East Bay Express voted her the Best Actress of 2007 for her performance in Rose by Martin Sherman. The S.F. Performing Arts Library and Museum is documenting her life for its Legacy Oral History Program.
