ACDT's Zelda and Scott Loved Dance Party and Fundraiser
February 13, 2015
"Zelda and Scott Loved Dance" a 1920s flapper costume party and fundraiser to celebrate modern dance, Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald and to support ACDT's future work. The speakeasy for this event is Homewood Estate in Montford, formerly known as Highland Hospital, the location where 1920s legend Zelda Fitzgerald spent the last years of her life. The Warren Gaughan Trio is sure to be the bee's knees with their live big band music, heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided and, of course, and, in true tradition of prohibition rebellion, there will be a champagne bar (also beer, wine, water and soft drinks).
Some amazing items have been charitably contributed for a silent auction, including original artwork, massages and other types of bodywork, chocolate, and so much more. Local piano virtuoso Chris Zhang will play, ACDT will perform several short pieces throughout the evening, and everyone is encouraged to come in costume and dance the night away in true 1920s style; and if you do come in costume, you will get a drink on the house.
