"Metempsychosis" performed by Vanessa Skantze music by Kris Force
Vangeline Theater ensemble piece
Metempsychosis is defined as the transmigration of the soul, especially the passage of the soul after death from a human or animal to some other human or animal body.
Kris Force (Amber Asylum, Lux Interna) created this music for Vanessa Skantze to craft a dance with. She writes: It is the jolt and ripping away from the infinite into the body prison (samsara) and the suffering that ensues, emotional, ego and physical which gently fades over a lifetime through acceptance, knowledge and awakening back to the infinite.
