Aida - Opera in Cinema
Recorded live in the Summer of 2009, this production of Aida is slightly unusual as the stage is floating in the middle of a lake! In addition, the costumes are a mix of contemporary (pink go-go dancer outfits and riot gear) and traditional Egyptian high priest robes.
The singing and sound quality is exceptional - since there are no acoustics in the middle of the lake, all the singers and orchestra are mic-ed. The audience is treated to near-perfect sound as a result.
Starring Tatiana Serjan as Aida, Iano Tamar as Amneris and Rubens Pelizzari as Radames, this production is a feast for the ears and eyes!
