Literary Death Match NYC, Ep. 29!
Want a break from the heat, NYC? Come cool off in our pool of provocative, revolutionary, sexy literary talent?! Cannonballing off the diving board of new fiction comes Benjamin Hale (The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore), followed closely by skinny dipping non-fictionista Melissa Petro (of Sex Work Matters: Power and Intimacy in the Sex Industry), who will try to get a leg up on synchronized author/playwright/performer Rachel Shukert (Everything Is Going to Be Great: An Underfunded and Overexposed European Grand Tour) who, in all likelihood, will be playing Marco/Polo with poet Dasha Kelly (Hershey Eats Peanuts, Anthems for Grown Folks).
After a refreshing dip in these wild waters, judges Bruce "join me in the hot tub for a roman aÌ clef?" Benderson (Pacific Agony, The Romanian: Story of an Obsession), talespinner Elna Baker (The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance), and a yet-to-be-named rogue wave of wordsmithery will decide who sinks, and who swims their way to the latest Literary Death Match title.
Hosted by LDM NYC Executive Producer Ann Heatherington and Upright Citizens Brigadier General Carter Edwards.
