Northwest Sinfonietta
No composer is more intimately associated with the NW Sinfonietta than Mozart who inspired its founding in 1991. For our grand celebration, we chose two of his greatest creations which he composed at the very height of his creative powers. We also invited one of the region's most creative and acclaimed musicians, Seattle Symphony clarinetist Laurie DeLuca, who will also premiere a new concerto composed expressly for her. ROSSINI: La Scala di Seta, Overture FIRSOVA: Clarinet Concerto (world premiere) MOZART: Clarinet Concerto Laurie DeLuca, clarinet MOZART: Symphony No. 40 in G minor
