Italian Street Painting Marin

Join us for Carnevale di Venezia and be transported to Italy for the weekend!

Over 100 Madonnari (street painters) from around the United States, Italy and Mexico will gather in downtown San Rafael to celebrate the captivating performance art of street painting. Featured images will illustrate the tradition of the Venetian Carnival, transporting you to Venice for the weekend. Additional paintings will take you on a journey only artists can provide by exploring people, places, and emotions.

In addition to featured Madonnari and great raffle prizes, new activities include a display from the Mask-Making Competition and Parade of Venetian Costumes! View the works of artists of all ages at the RareArtist exhibition! The popular Children's Avenue returns to inspire the budding Madonnari, perfect for ages 2 to 12!
