Strangeloop Theatre presents 'The Sound of a Yellow Flower'
THE SOUND OF A YELLOW FLOWER by Dustin Spence Directed by Letitia Guillaud
A world-premiere play by Strangeloop company member Dustin Spence! Developed entirely by Strangeloop Theatre, The Sound of a Yellow Flower was originally produced as a single scene during Strangeloop's Loopshop summer workshop series in 2009 and was first seen in its full-length form in November 2009 as a staged reading at Boho Theatre.
Set in Belarus, the play examines the interconnected relationships between four characters, and how one decisive moment changes all of their lives. Love and violence intertwine as these four hope for a future and sort through the broken remains of their past. As secrets are revealed and relationships crumble, is there still a place for hope?
Featuring: Mark Pracht, Meghan M. Martinez, Rich Logan and Samantha Garcia.
With scenic design by Glen Anderson, costumes and props by D.J. Reed, lighting by Leigh Barrett and sound by Bradley J. Gunter. Dialect coach is Kate Jordan, Fight Choreographer is Libby Beyreis, Assistant Director is Linus Lee, and Stage Manager is Keith Gatchel.
'The Sound of a Yellow Flower' contains strong language and depictions of violence which may be unsuitable for younger audiences.
