Naked Girls Reading Minneapolis Presents: "VOLUPTUOUS VERNACULAR FOR VALENTINE'S DAY"
This year for Valentine's Day join the beauties with brains of Naked Girls Reading Minneapolis as they bare more than just their behinds; performing readings of love, lust, longing.... and vaginas, including excerpts from Eve Ensler's book, "The Vagina Monologues."
Featuring producer and burlesque performer Queenie von Curves, local actress and member of Dirty Curls' Busty LaRoux, burlesque performer and dancer Red Bone and special guest Marilyn Mae!
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Women's Advocates, Inc:
Women's Advocates is a safe place where battered women and their children can escape domestic violence. In addition to providing shelter, Women's Advocates provides personalized support, advocacy, education, and resources for nearly 1,000 women and children every year. The first shelter in the nation for battered women, Women's Advocates opened its doors in 1974. Women's Advocates welcomes women and children of all backgrounds and cultures. (www.wadvocates.org)

Naked Girls Reading, called "appropriately racy" by Entertainment Weekly and "the best thing to happen to books since they were put on tape" by Carson Daly, was founded in Chicago in March of 2009 by International Showgirl Michelle L'amour and husband Franky Vivid. After the very first event it was obvious to all in attendance that something big had just happened - something spiritual. There's something beautiful, something altogether more intimate, about a woman reading pretty much anything in her, well, altogether. It's just that simple. So why are we still talking about it? Because people can't seem to accept its simplicity. Once you experience it, you'll stop asking so many questions and just let the concept take you.
