Mirrored balls were first seen in ballrooms as early as the late 1800s, gaining popularity in the 20s, and eventually known as "disco balls" in the 70s. These shiny night lights act as beacons for nightlife culture and entertainment, and we invite you to pull out your shiniest, sequined, tinseled, rhinestoned attire as we celebrate all of the above at our first show of the year!
Enjoy a variety of fabulous and neo-Vaudeville entertainments, from the all-female Glamazon Tour, including sideshow, tap dancing, and burlesque too! Plus a performance from Providence's own glamorous band, Baby Oil, who will have you shimmying on the edge of your seat with their renditions of popular songs as performance art. The Chifferobe TropiGals have some surprises up their sleeves, as usual...and the participants of our most recent dance workshops will blow you away with numbers learned over a series of SunDates. Look out for other surprises, and delectable cocktails provided by Aurora!
