Joey Pipia's HeadTrip
Get Tickets Now For Feb 7 Sold Out Joey Pipia's HeadTrip Is Back
"You have another chance if you were one of the many people who didn't get tickets last time!" says Joey Pipia. HeadTrip, his sold out, one-act journey through the depths of the mind, returns Saturday, February 7th, 8 pm at The Chameleon Theater.
You'll be amazed at the power of the human mind while you laugh at the wonder of the human condition. Pipia says the entire evening is created with one goal: for everyone to have fun while expecting the unexpected.
The show begins with a traditional magic effect, but quickly spirals up and into the world of magic of the mind. Pipia then explains that in traditional sleight of hand, things change from one thing to another, like an egg or silk, but in HeadTrip, the only your mind will be altered.
One effect during the evening uses every ones' cell phone to reach the world beyond. No there's not an app for that, yet. To see how the effect turns out you need to be there. Also during the evening minds are read, but it's all in good fun, and Pipia promises not to read and tell.
HeadTrip is an entirely new show. KPTZ Radio partnered with Pipia two years ago for three performances of Delusions of Grandeur for a successful fundraising effort. As part of the lead up to that event, Pipia's prediction of The Leader Newspaper's headlines for that week's issue were read live on the air. He was correct, by the way.
Pipia is featured regularly at Seattle's international Moisture Festival, and will tour Alaska this summer with The New Old Time Chautauqua and The Flying Karamazov Brothers. He has appeared in film, on TV, and on stages across the country. The Oregon Country Fair has been host to many of Pipia's shows for over ten years, where he is a performer, writer, and producer of the legendary Stage Left Vaudeville Show.
Joey will again be joined in HeadTrip with guest and real-life daughter, Phina Pipia. The father and daughter open HeadTrip with two effects straight out of classic vaudeville mind-theater. Phina is best known to Port Townsend audiences for her work with musical dynamic duo The Pipia Sisters; Phina and Sophie wowed audiences in Canada this past June at the Montreal International Fringe Festival.
Joey Pipia's HeadTrip plays for one night only February 7th, 2015. The Chameleon Theater is an intimate venue. Tickets can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com, or by calling 360-774-2202 for reservations. More information can be found about Joey Pipia at www joeypipia.com.
