Global Rhythms: Accordi-O-Rama IV feat. Jason Webley
Town Hall's annual celebration of the world's greatest instrument, Accordi-O-Rama IV presents a dynamic line-up of the Northwest's finest squeezeboxers. Sharing the afternoon are Seattle's beloved troubadour and accordion master Jason Webley; the sounds of San Francisco's Shamalamacord, a duo playing the exotic combination of accordion and Japanese shamisen, a banjo-like instument; the rollicking Zydeco music of Richard Allen and the Louisiana Experience; Tex-Mex favorites Juan Barco and his Conjunto with Andy Gonzalez; and the return of the surprise hit from the first Accordi-O-Rama, Zhong-Xi Wu and Karen Wu, performing on sheng, the ancient Chinese multi-piped instrument that is the forerunner of the accordion.
