"Inside the Book Business" with Jennifer Worick and Kerry Colburn

Okay, all you people who love books/read books/want to write books: this is an evening not to be missed! Over wine and appetizers these two authors/former publishing execs will explain the way the publishing world *really* works, and will include how to pitch your proposal so it rises out of the slush pile and how to make your book fly off the shelves.
Jennifer Worick has written or co-authored more than 20 books, including the NYT bestseller The Worst Case Scenario Handbook: Dating and Sex and has written on everything under the sun for national magazines. Recently named "one of the four funniest bloggers in America" she considers her greatest talent to be " breaking things down so people can understand them in an instant." Kerry Colburn is a former publishing executive, freelance writer and the author of numerous books including the new How To Have Your Second Child First and my personal favorite: Good Drinks for Bad Days. Humor will play a role in this evening, for what is wackier and more surreal than attempting to understand the publishing world?
