Pork out with the best of 'em! Come to a Slow Food Spokane River Rooftop Potluck & Mixer! You bring a side dish, we bring on the pork!
Slow Food USA worked hard to prevent the extinction of the heritage RED WATTLE HOG. Find more info here - http://www.slowfoodusa.org/index.php/programs/ark_product_detail/red_wattle_hog/ The effort helped considerably - heck, now li'l ol' Spokane has a rancher with some! Likely the only ones in WA, perhaps the whole west coast! The first one available was purchased by some local Slow Food members and our chapter. We can't wait to try it for the first time, sharing it with our community! Meet farmer Kevin Tunison too!
We're partnering with chefs in Spokane to take a cut and prepare it for our group. Restaurants and the public get introduced at the same time.
Entry fee - Potluck side dish or dessert to share Additional suggested donation $5.00; 40 person maximum on the rooftop, so come early!
Register here, so we can prepare and you save yourself a spot. If you're not there by 6:30pm, we reserve the right to release your reservation.
