When Orchestra Morphine first started playing out following Mark Sandman's death in 1999 they were "a living celebration of the music of Mark Sandman and Morphine, played with heart and commitment by a big band of Mark's friends. The group includes his Morphine bandmates Dana Colley, Billy Conway and Jerome Deupree, Either/Orchestra leader Russ Gershon, Club d'Elf bassist Mike Rivard, horn player Tom Halter, keyboardist Evan Harriman and vocalists Christian McNeill and Laurie Sargent." While all of that remains true, something magical has happened in the years since that fateful day they have turned into a really really really amazing band. And, we might add, a band that should not be missed. They will blow you away!
