CALIFORNIA REDWOOD CHORALE sings RUTTER'S "REQUIEM"
The 50-voice CALIFORNIA REDWOOD CHORALE is performing Rutter's sublime "REQUIEM". This exquisite and melodic contemporary work has an ethereal quality. It will be directed by Robert Hazelrigg and accompanied by John Hazelrigg on piano, Kathryn Vast on cello, and Daniel Celidore on oboe. The Chorale is also performing American repertoire including American classic, "Cindy" for double choir and double piano, "Wade in the Water" with double piano, "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film score for "The Mission" featuring Daniel Celidore on oboe and Kathryn Vast on cello, "Joshua Fit the Battle", "Homeward Bound" arranged by our own Andrew DelMonte, and more beautiful music! This entire program will be sung in Vienna and Budapest in June on our exciting trip to those grand old cities. We will give 3 concerts in this series. We are excited to present our guest singing ensemble, The Tangents, during this concert series. April 24 and 25 will be in the evening at the Glaser Center in Santa Rosa. April 26 will be at 3pm at romantic Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in Sonoma in their magical Barrel Room. The winery will be serving Pizza in Piazza from noon to 3pm. The CALIFORNIA REDWOOD CHORALE is now 8 years old and showing signs of becoming one of the best chorales in the North Bay!
