Guitarists Geoff Bennington and Paul Demyanovich have been planning this for years. Soon after meeting while in the 2nd grade the two began learning how to play guitar, which quickly led to forming bands of multiple genres throughout their teenage years in Jersey. Life separated the pair for 7 years after high school, but when the two ended up in Brooklyn in 2012 they began writing songs right away. They called up childhood friend Brian Yurachek to come play drums, and Geoff met Alex Fedorow (bass) and Kym Hawkins (vocals/percussion) while working at a guitar store in the East Village. The five quickly connected on a previously unfelt level.

When Geoff's other band bailed on a gig at Left Field in the Lower East Side, Gillian rose to the occasion and agreed to fill in. The energy and excitement experienced at that first show was enough to push the quintet to step it up a notch and get into the studio. "Freak Flag" was released as a digital single in November of 2013, receiving international press from NYC's "Death+Taxes" to London's "The 405 Magazine", setting off further blog reviews as far as Germany and Japan.

The sound is humble and pretentious at the same time, catchy enough to sing along tobut with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. The group has been steadily gigging in New York City since the release and earning their reputation as one of the most energetic, funnest, tightest music ensembles to hit the scene in years. They have plans of returning to the studio to record another, longer, EP in time for their East Coast tour this coming July '14.
