Junior's Courses: This Clinic is designed for WJRD Bout Ready Members. It will provide them with the
opportunity to learn Lateral Agility, Individual and Partner Hitting, and How to Form and Keep Strong,
Tight Walls from a few skaters currently playing with WRD's MT From 9:00-11:00. Additionally there will
be a Dress Scrimmage for the Junior's from 11:00-12:05. The First half will be a Dynamic Educational
Scrimmage ran by the officials to explain on track scenarios and penalties. Please make sure all skaters
have both a black and white scrimmage tank with numbers on the back.
Beginner's Courses: Ages 18 and up. This will be a clinic that focuses on basic Stance and Agility, Giving
and Receiving Hits, as well as Teamwork and Communication. This clinic is designed to help skaters
identify areas of improvement and help them progress towards bettering their minimum skillset while
making new friends and engaging with the roller derby community! Skaters are encouraged to be
skating with a league in some capacity and looking to further develop their skills. Skaters should have all
their own protective gear and skates with them. Time slots run from 12:00-2:15 with a Dynamic
Educational Scrimmage run by the officials to explain on track scenarios and penalties and a Dress
Scrimmage from 2:15-3:20 as well as a Rules Clarification Class from 3:35-4:15. Please make sure all
skaters have both a black and white scrimmage tank with numbers on the back.
Intermediate/Advanced Courses: Ages 18 and up. This will be a clinic focused on Juking and Spinning
Agility, Strategic Individual and Partner Hitting, as well as Teamwork and Communication all at a Division
1 Level. Skaters are encouraged to be skating with a league at an Advanced Home Team or Travel Team
Level and looking to further develop their skillset. Skaters should have all their own protective gear and
skates with them. Time slots run from 3:30-6:00 with a Full Dress Scrimmage from 6:00-7:10 as well as a
class on Strategic Game Play and Winning Reviews from 7:25-8:00. Please make sure all skaters have
both a black and white scrimmage tank with numbers on the back.
Tickets: Go to brown paper tickets to purchase your tickets
Skaters will need to pre-pay according to their self-identified skill level. Everyone will need to sign a
waiver when they register on the day of the event. All skaters will need to provide their WFTDA or
USARS insurance number. Everyone will need to provide their legal name and skater name if they have
one. All skaters should identify their skater number for the final scrimmages. We will divide skaters into
scrimmage teams.
After Party: WILLIES LOUNGE at 10:00PM. Willies is a great sponsor of Wasatch Roller Derby and was
named "Best Dive Karaoke Scene" by City Weekly Best of Utah 2012. So come out to Willies on 2/7 at
10:00PM to participate in an awesome after party with cheap drinks and Karaoke!
