An evening of classical Indian music and dance
Join three superb musical events in one concert!
Michael Lewis is one of the finest American tabla players today, disciple of the late Ustad Allah Rakha.
Steve Oda is a senior sarode disciple of the late Ali Akbar Khan, and is an international performer and teacher.
Jyoti Kala Mandir dancers are from the College of Odissi classical dance and music, founded by Guru Jyoti Rout.
All proceeds to to the local non-profit Developing Indigenous Resources, providing health promotion, disease prevention, education, and income generation in slums in India (dir-help.org). Refreshments, Indian products, and raffle tickets will also be for sale. Door open at 6:30 -- no one turned away for lack of funds.
