DrekFest 4: The Worstament
For four years, DrekFest has been on a mission to expose bad writing for what it really is: damn funny. DrekFest also exposes the new-play development process for what it sometimes can be: pretty damn ridiculous.
From a nationwide pool of applicants, our judges have selected 8 semi-finalists to be presented live and eventually narrowed down to this year's Worst Short Play. The semi-final round will be held over the first two weeks (August 2nd and 9th) - with each evening made up of four different shows, and bonus performances from past winners. Audiences will vote on the two Worst plays to advance on to the final round.
The final week, August 16th, the four finalists will be presented, followed by commentary from our guest judges. Audience voting will decide the Grand Loser.
ComedySportz is co-sponsoring this event as a benefit performance for Stage Left Theatre.
