Iron Prince of A-Team

Iron Prince of A-Team is an action packed sketch comedy revue presented by Awesomonster!

When entertainment truly is an industry, what hope do mom and pop entertainers have? The Iron Prince of A-Team explores the difference between paying $10 to watch Bruce Willis blow up an oil truck and paying the same amount to watch a bunch of 20-somethings pretend they are birds. What begins as one troupe's quest to sell out turns into a battle to prove that Bruce Willis can go suck an egg, and sketch comedy is still funny. Expect action packed fight/dance choreography, explosions (if you have a really loose definition of explosions) and celebrity cameos (if you have a really, really loose definition of celebrity).

The cast of Awesomonster! includes: Shéetom Ashbrook, Logan Conner, Kevin Duvall, Rachel Lada, James Manno, AJ Rahm, Dave Ruthenberg, Nicholas Taylor, and C.J. Tuor.

Ensemble/Show Performance History:
Awesomonster! is a collection of artists whose collective talents include acting, improv, writing, music, & stand up comedy. We have been together for a year. Our first show premiered at Gorilla Tango October 2009. "The Last and Therefore Best Comedy Show on Earth" After that we were asked back to Gorilla Tango in January and our season "Guess Who's Coming to Murder!" both shows performed in front of packed (and often sold out) houses and we were featured in The Chicago Tribune.
We have also appeared in a number of local clubs and bars such as The Kinetic Playground, The Playground, The Fizz, The Center for Performance Arts, and we won the St. Valentine's Day Massacre Produced by the Dramatist Persona at The Spot.
