Before It Hits Home by Cheryl L. West
An award winning provocative play on the impact of AIDS on one family. This complex and thought provoking play explores the effect of AIDS on one young man, his lovers, and his family. It is often times raw and candid, and is ultimately about conditional and unconditional love. Since the time this play was written in 1989, there has been tremendous advances in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and it is no longer a "death" sentence; HOWEVER, the play still sounds a wake-up call for prevention, awareness, and to get tested! Mature Themes, Strong Language!
