Slow Food Kansas City Presents "Planting the Seeds of Change"
SLOW FOOD KANSAS CITY NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
PLANTING THE SEEDS OF CHANGE
There will be a series of seed plantings with the resulting plants to be sold in support of local food and hunger related non-profits. Plants will also be given to community and school gardens.
The plants featured will be heirlooms and some designated by the ARK OF TASTE, a project of SLOW FOOD all over the world.
On Wednesday and Thursday, February 4th and 5th and February 25 and 26,volunteers will gather at Cobinsteinz Farm to plant the seeds. Don't have a green thumb? IT DOES NOT MATTER. John Cobine, Slow Food Board member, will show us what to do!
Where: Cobinsteinz Farm, 10765 W. 239th Street Bucyrus, Kansas Please use google maps link on page to get directions.
Time:4:00 PM or after you get off work is great! We would love your help for a couple hours or as long as you can spare. The first 20 people who sign up for each date will be welcome so please sign up soon to reserve your space!
